Just relistening to the final installment of the illustration island podcast with Zina Saunders and Thomas James. Her politcal caricature's are fantastic, favourite of which is Romney on Reagans knee. Bloody hilarious!

The Roll of the a Dice.
In conjunction with my web design project I've written and begun to illustrate a graphic novel (nowhere near a novel yet) and this is the illustration for the front cover. It still needs some work; typography and image balancing, but am happy where its going.

Graphic Novel Inspired Web Design
This is a navigation bar for a website I've been designing today. In the future I'd like to see this through to completion, but the deadline calls (end of Jan) so I'll just make do with it being a proposal. These colours are way off because its a CMYK file to be printed out onto foam board. I'll upload a finished RGB file when its finished and the white boxes are filled in. I took the original colours from 1950's comics.

"So, hows the project going?"
So its been a few months since my last post (AGAIN). But to be fair its been a busy few months.
Last update was about my possible project over at Port Lympne; which fell through. The image below is the possible cover art for my project on the T.A.( thats Territorial Army to you and me).
This project started out as a simple one:
1. Get clearance for T.A. and draw the inside/out.
2. Spend ages waiting and badgering admin at the centre to reply.
3. Have a second attempt at getting clearance with a different member of staff.
4. Have clearance denied to enter the premises....
5. Draw from the outside out of sheer desperation for my project not to collapse (months after initial contact).

6. Nearly being arrested by said T.A. for drawing from the outside!

Long Time No Post!
It has been a very long time since Ive last posted. I fell out of love with drawing after Uni finished (i.e. bad mark lol), and have had only sporadic inspiration over the last few months.
Now I face going back to Uni, I'm dusting off my drawing desk and re-remembering skills. The monkey is about a possible future project with Port Lympne and the drawings of kids were for a client's psychology paper. Never realised how difficult it is to draw children!
Hopefully over the next few months, my page will be filled with designs and drawings.
Watch this space!
